What do I like about Brightmont…For starters the teachers are so nice and always cheerful. They also even help me out if I don’t understand something or know something. Even if it is their job to teach us students, they all teach different ways with each student for every subject. Even the students here are nice. The school even spends their own money to buy snacks for everyone in the school and that alone is awesome! That is what I like about Brightmont.

I like Brightmont because I have learned so much! The teachers are great and they care so much about me! Since being at Brightmont, I have never been bullied once. I would like to graduate high school here. This is one of the best schools I have ever been to!

There are several things about my English class that I like. One thing I like is that Mr. Bob tries his best to make things fun in order to keep my attention. Another thing is that we are trying to do things that are more helpful towards me in particular. Mr. Bob and I have a lot in common so when we are getting ready for class there is usually something interesting to talk about.

I noticed he was not meeting milestones and was delayed, but it took 2 years for a physician to hear me and get testing done. I received the diagnosis of Autism and ADHD. At that point I worked tirelessly to find the right specialists and learning systems to help him be the best that he can be, with the end goal of him graduating high school and being a productive member of society..."

A year ago Josh was completely quiet about his school during dinner…..This year, at family dinners he joins the conversation and talks about his day and goals just like we do ours - right in turn and speaks as seriously as those of us spoke of our duties at our jobs. He really treats school like a job and is so proud of it. It really has changed his life, and I think the trajectory of where he goes beyond Brightmont as well.
