High school students prepare for high school literature including reading strategies and text connections, such as analyzing text genres and understanding contextual clues

9th-12th Grade  →

• Authentic writing exercises, moving through the writing cycle, and writing for the reader
• Mentor text and text structures: the basic template of written pieces
• Kernel essays: short written pieces following a text structure

3rd-12th Grade  →

• Preschool: fine motor skills, letter formation, and number formation
• Pre-K: fine motor and prewriting skills (holding a pencil/crayon, writing lines and curves, and shapes)
• Preschool-2nd Grade: print
• 3rd Grade: cursive
