Sammamish, WA – As the Spring semester progresses, students often encounter increased academic challenges and pressures. Factors such as fatigue, seasonal allergies, and the anticipation of summer break can contribute to heightened stress levels and academic struggles among students during this time. As students embark on this pivotal period, Brightmont Academy reaffirms its commitment to nurturing individual potential and guiding students toward academic success.
Brightmont Academy is a nationally accredited private school that offers a flexible, customized learning alternative to traditional schools. As the end of the year approaches and students start to become distracted, Brightmont Academy remains committed to keeping them on track towards academic success through collaborative efforts and personalized support. “For our kids planning to graduate soon, senioritis can be just as real as at any traditional school; by no means are our students immune! I love to see how our teachers and admins all work together to celebrate the home stretch run with the kids, and an advantage we have here is that we don't have hundreds of students eyeing the finish line and distracting one another. I've worked in public high schools and taught senior courses, and though it is always exciting, it gets extremely difficult for students and staff, and the euphoria and distractedness usually begins much earlier than spring and only gets worse from there,” said Derek Heinz, Campus Director of the Sammamish location.
New students can enroll at any time with open enrollment all throughout the school year. Summer often presents an opportunity for students to explore their interests, strengthen their skills, and prepare for the future. Brightmont Academy recognizes the importance of utilizing this time effectively and offers a range of programs designed to keep students engaged and motivated during the summer break. Heinz explains, “It seems like prospective students and their families begin looking into summer enrollment earlier every year. Plenty of students are looking for credit retrieval courses, skill building opportunities in math, reading and/or writing, and ACT/SAT prep programs. Another trend I've noticed is for students to take high school courses in their most challenging courses here with us so that they can avoid doing so in crowded classrooms where they feel they cannot learn as effectively.”
Brightmont Academy is located at 4588 Klahanie Dr. SE, Suite 401 in Sammamish and is currently accepting enrollments. The Sammamish campus hosts open houses every Thursday from 9am – 4pm.
