Karen Buckner, MBA

President and CEO

Karen currently serves as the President and CEO of Brightmont Academy and is actively involved in all aspects of the organization. Karen also co-founded venture capital firm MK Capital and is Partner and Chief Operating Officer. MK Capital has made over 40 investments, many within the education sector. She has extensive experience with operational management, business and financial analysis, and building infrastructure. Karen has served as an entrepreneur and business consultant, gaining experience through her previous roles that include Vice President of Operations, COO, and Public Equity Research Analyst.

Karen is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Kellogg's Graduate School of Management.
